: ) Smiling.

A friend loves at all times, and is born, as is a brother, for adversity. Proverbs 17: 17

Hey Friends!
Wow what a busy week it’s been- I’ve traveled to 3 different states…in 3 days that is-met up with some of my very best friends-completely covered a house with toilet paper-played my first and possibly the best round of golf that I’ve ever played…Boy Do I have some catching up to do with yall!!

I think it’s been two weeks since I’ve updated this blog- So forgive me if I’ve left something out. First of all, I’d like to proudly say that I am graduating in 13 days! But seriously, who’s counting. Before I got pregnant, I was going to do some type of sales… I had narrowed it down to pharmaceuticals, but I figured with a precious baby, it’d be a little hard to do the traveling that I’d be required to do. So, I changed my major from General Business to General studies because that allowed me to graduate in May 2009 rather than December 2009. I am going to do the PACE program and I'm hoping to teach the youngsters... Probably 2nd grade and under. I figure having summers off and holidays off to hang out with my little man wouldn’t be a bad idea after all...and hanging out with cool little kids that really want to learn...would be a pretty sweet job. : ) And if I do change my mind about school, I could always go back and finish up my General business degree in 2 semesters…or about 18 hours. As far as this semester goes, I have one final down and 3 to go…Im hoping for good grades…So until my finals open up- I plan to do a lot of sucking up! : ) Kidding.

This is what I really want to tell you guys! I went back to Liberal Kansas this weekend! After I left, I was so happy that I was out of that place, but its funny because now I miss it so much. The people there would do anything for you… and I guess Dorthy is right “THERES NO PLACE LIKE HOME” : ) Anyway, I went back to initially to meet up with one of my best friends Aly. She was my room mate my sophomore year there at Seward County and talk about a girl who fights for life…she literally does. Over the last couple of years she’s struggled with some health issues... in which she probably wouldn’t want me to go into, but she has a doctors appt May 11th, So I just ask for prayers for her…I’m sure she’ll take them! Anyway, anytime we get together- it’s a lot of fun…and my abs still hurt from laughing* If any of my old SCCC team mates are reading this…we told stories of Wanya and the haunted house* or the infamous Paris and Nicole Halloween costumes…wow those times are priceless. But, anyway- I thought I would just go to have a good time and drive the cart around…but oh NO, Kent always has something up his sleve (Kent was our booster while we were at liberal) little did I know, he signed me up to play!! WHAT?! I’m a basketball player- Not a golfer. But, as time went on…I started to get the hang of it. One the first hole- my drive went right on the green, and on the 2nd hole…I hit one right out of the sand for a birdie…and after that- I could’ve retired… They say it only takes one shot to bring ya back…. And I think that saying is so true! After the golf tournament, We all headed over to Kevin and Tanyas (Kents son and daughter-in-laws) where we enjoyed some pizza and some fun rock band~ It was quite entertaining…and Aly and I were busy planning our night of being mischievous. After we left their house Aly and I headed to Wal mart to pick up 18 rolls of toilet paper : ) You get where I’M going eh? Well, we got our old coach GOOD! We LOVE Coach Wynn but it’s something we used to do while we were at SCCC. We call his house the “tree house”- and wow… it was fun* We laughed and yes we were so proud of ourselves. But as far a driving through 3 states…we hit Texas, Oklahoma, and Kansas all in a 3 hour trip…Not bad eh?

I also wanted to tell ya a little bit about my room mate- who never ceases to amaze me! Well, last week Jessica asked me to go with her to record a song for her fiancĂ© for their wedding. The song that she wrote is amazing, and not only had that…she played the guitar too- yes, self taught! She’s pretty talented! But, we are moving out in like 15 days and our house looks so bare without her sweet decorations! Oh how I’ll miss this girl!

Photobucket

Oreo and Mikal…The guy that recorded her- also VERY talented.

Photobucket

As for Mister Mikah…He’s doing so great…growing and kicking….Yesterday, I was in serious pain. I don’t know what he was going but he was completely on the right side of my stomach. Apparently he takes comfort in that area because we have pictures of where he is folded in half in that side…smooshed! But, anyway, I could hardly walk because he was pressing down so hard so I lifted up my shirt and I was lopped sided! I should’ve have taken a picture because it was very funny…and it made me laugh, So after I layed down tried to push his…he kicked me a few times telling me to quit…and then he moved. Stubborn little guy… but I’m falling in love with him more and more every day. Heres a picture of me- Sorry I look a little bloated but I figured I should post one because people are asking me daily to see the “baby bump.”

Photobucket

Ok, I literally teared up when I saw this picture of my niece! Once a girl I saw weekly seemed to be growing up before my own eyes...lol. I love this little girl so much! So, Once again, I just had to brag on her cuteness...Check her out... 6 months going on 13 years... awwwwwww. I love her!!!

Photobucket

Oh, and her hot mom!! :o)

Photobucket
And yes, I do have one random picture for this week. It was went Nick and I went to visit the zoo in Amarillo. The theme of the picture was to make a face of what animal we wanted to see…and apparently Mine was an alligator and his was a monkey- No telling~ : )

I love you all more than you know <3 Have a great weekend! And smile!!!

Psalm 126:2

Psalm 126:2 Our mouths were filled with laughter, our tongues with songs of joy. Then it was said among the nations, "The LORD has done great things for them."

Hello Everyone!

Today is April 16, 2009, cloudy and a perfect day for a nap :o) As you all know, one of my favorite hobbies is laying around and cat napping. Anyways, how is everyone doing? I must admit that I haven’t fully waken up yet but I am ready to finish my week off strong* I just have a few things to update you guys on, but of coarse Ill probably read this tomorrow and be mad that I forgot to post something.

Ill start with Easter! I finally got to go home and actually spend some good quality time with my family. Usually I get home and have to get up early the next morning for an appointment and then I have to drive back for work but this Easter I actually got to stay home and hang out with my family~ It was great. I got home on Friday and relaxed with the family and then on Saturday I had a baby shower at Erin Methvin’s house for Tana Locket. It was great getting to see my old high school team mates and friends. On Sunday, we headed to church in which Kelli Kate and Justin attended also. Kate did really good during the service and only had one minor break down which resulted in a long nap after! I don’t know if its just me, But I’m one of those people who you see that has the extreme giggles during the prayer. Let me Illiterate on this really fast. In our church, we always sit in the balcony in which the rows square off pretty good, well as I was thanking God for his son, I look down and there is this adorable little girl in her Easter dress crying for help because she was bottom down, legs and chest in the air…STUCK between the row and the pew in front of us. Well, of coarse I get my sisters attention and she looks down and we both begin our crying laughter…It’s something we inherited from our mam-maw. Oh Thank you Jesus for laughter… :o) Beyond that, my mom sang and it was moving and beautiful as always. After church we had a Family get together with my Uncle Gary, Aunt Sandy, Cale and Lacey, My mam maw, Gary’s mom, my mom and dad, Kelli Justin and Kate, and Me. When our family gets together It’s always a fun time :o)

I always have funny stories that I want to remember but I seem to always forget when it comes down to it…While I was home, we have the most adorable next door neighbors…Dawn, Ronny, Drew and Cade. Well Dawn came over and told my mom that Drew (age 4) had been asking her for an instrument. (This was after a full day of cleaning out our closets that my mom soon realized we had enough stuff to have a garage sale) Well, we just so happened to have a guitar that I had from high school that I swore to learn how to play- yeah that didn’t go as planned… Anyway, this guitar is very pink and very girly- and let me remind you that Drew is ALL boy…A&M football all the way. Ok I’m sorry I’m babbling. Well we decided that would be the perfect prize for Drew…So we took it outside and his most gracious four year old voice he says… “It’s so pink!” HAHA, I wish you could have heard it because this story does not give it justification but it was pretty cute. Yes, he played a little “Jesus loves me” in our driveway…Just another way he makes our family smile! Ps…in payment for the guitar I gave him I got TWO BIG hugs from him….. and two more from little brother that copies everything Drew does...I didn’t mind ;)
(Dawn I had to steal this picture...adorable!)

I had an appointment with Dr. Kileen Tuesday in Lubbock to check on Mister Mikah! He is doing great and is looking great! He is a little over a pound right now and is the 75th percentile of growth for his age (Did I say that right? Kelli explained that to me at the dr.’s office) He assured us we weren’t having a 10 pound baby but he was a healthy little booger. All I have to say is POOR KATE…Who is small (but ADORABLE) for her age-It’s going to be fun When we have a 1 & 2 year old running around…:o) His heart was beating strong and we finally got a shot of his little boy parts. From a mommy’s perspective, it was adorable… I mean if that can be adorable in any way? But every time we got a clear shot on it…He would kick the sonogram wand in which we would lose the view… it was like he was saying “Mommy, your embarrassing me!” Coming from an all girls family it was hard to believe that he was a HIM instead of a HER…but after that… I’m convinced. : D Yeah Yeah for team blue!

Lastly, So I have been trying to find somewhere that I fit in, in order to help scared/young teenage mothers…because well needless to say…I’ve been there done that! Well I emailed a lady named Judy from Hillside and she sent my testimony to NetCare in Canyon…Well that’s where I started this little journey- So they called and of coarse we caught up on how I was doing on so forth and so on…I told them that I wouldn’t be here for the summer because I was moving to Levelland to get help from my awesome parents. Well, They gave me the number to Parkridge which is a ministry for unplanned pregnancy in Lubbock. So on Tuesday before all of my appointments I met with a lady named Mary and she gave me a tour of the place but it was unfortunate that they don’t have another training session until September… I took this as God just wanted me to wait and increase my walk with him before I truly dive into something like this…Which is fine because in this ministry…who knows what’s going to be thrown at me. So until then Ill just be praying for an increase in my faith and praying for God to take me wherever he leads….In which sometimes we know is not so easy!

*Random Picture I know, I just love it!

OKAY, I think that is all for this week...I love each of you dearly and I hope to be reading the great ways that God is blessing you & working through you in your lives!!
Until then!

April 7th 2009

Hey friends!

As I sit in my isolated corner here at work, putting my daily powder and mascara on...I remind myself that it would be a great time to update my blog. I'm going to have to start making more mental notes on what I want to write on this thing because usually when I sit down...I draw a blank. But, no fears everyone- I'm sure I can pull a few ideas out of the sky to write.

First,
I forgot to tell everyone last week about my amazing, wonderful & awesome basketball team. After what seemed like a season ending injury to our All-American (Emily Brister), The Lady Buffalos over came SO many different obstacles and ended up with not only a conference championship, not only a regional championship, but a trip to the elite 8!!! Although the season ended short for some members on the team...everyone was proud of their amazing efforts and accomplishments! I am SO proud of each of these girls and will be the first to say how amazing EACH of these girls are!! Good Job Ladies!!

Photobucket

Next, my sister, Justin & Kate actually moved! It seemed SO quick considering Justin and I would tease each other on who would graduate first! Well, looks like it'll end in a tie Justin- Don't worry I'm sure we will have more competitions to come. :o) Kelli and Justin sold their house in a matter of four weeks?! Not bad for our "terrible economy" eh? Anyways, needless to say I'm sad that they moved for now... but in a couple months when I'm back in Levelland, I'll be back in their space again :o) Yippee!!

Photobucket

Guys what else? After a year in braces for the second time, I finally got them off! Thank you Jesus! I laid nervously in the chair before the orthodontist came over because the nurse who sat me down said "Your over bite isn't 100% corrected." RUDE! :o) No it just made me irritated because I was anticipating the removal of my braces. I don't blame her for her perfectionism...You should see this place* But thankfully, they were removed after a gut-wrentching 70 minutes. [I hate cold air on my teeth, polishing, touching, anything! Being pregnant made this process 10 times worse...needless to say I have bad gag reflexes...lol- Thank you Blackshear side of the family]

Photobucket

Ok, so I mentioned that I got in a wreck in a previous blog...WELL, I had to tell you guys that my rental car is a minivan......For the 5th time, I know I'm pregnant and this vehicle is getting me ready for parent hood- You dont know how many people I've gotten that from. My goodness, Our God does have a sense of humor doesn't he? Ps...google Mazda 5...that's what im crusin' in.

I've noticed this week that God has been throwing around the word FAITH with me. At church last Sunday it's what my preacher preached on... Tommy Politz- So good! I have to tell you what he said... He's wife suffers from Rheumetory Arthritis (I think that's what it is...correct me if I'm wrong) anyways the elders in the church kept saying "Tommy if you had more faith and prayed harder, your wife would not be suffering in this way." Well, after a long sermon on his faith and how they had so much faith in Jesus and his healing.... He said "I bet the elders won't be bothering me anymore" in which he got a standing ovation. :) It was pretty sweet- and I don't have all of my notes but the message was oh so good! If your ever in Amarillo, You've got to visit Hillside Christian Church atleast once...It changes lives!! But anyway... read Hebrews 11...By Faith!!!!!!!!!

Love all of you guys and I hope you have a very blessed and wonderful week...and if I don't get on here before then....HAPPY EASTER!!!!!!!!!!!!

Chelsea...

ps-
Can anyone tell me how to follow other bloggers? I can NOT figure this out... apparently Im blogger illiterate :o) Thanksss!

Brag Week. Had to. :o)

First of all, let me apologize for all the tears that may have resulted from my last blog. Jacki was one of those phone calls that I got that said "I just cried for the last 15 minutes." But, I am glad that it reached you guys in such a positive way. This week on the other hand I have declared as Brag week. So prepare yourself because I am feeling blessed and I do feel like boasting about my life, I mean- Why not! It's my blog, So I'll do what I want. :o) Smile.

Remember how I told you guys how my parents are being amazing through all of this? Well, I went home about a month ago and my dad built me a rocking chair. Although this may not seem like much- He did this for my sister and Kate and to me it was basically a way of my dad welcoming me with open arms and fully accepting the fact of his baby...having a baby* He's pretty awesome right? Not only that, but my silly parents finally got phones with picture mail and they had sent me pictures of the crib set up in my room and the furiture all moved around to where it fit perfectly. We are so blessed with this crib because it was our neighboors (Dawn and Ronny) who we absolutly love! We dont have the sheet and all of the goodies yet but that will eventually come. Seriously this probably wouldnt be like this if they did not have Jesus in their hearts...Thank you Jesus, Literally!!

Secondly, Do I not have the cutest niece...ever? If you don't know her already- her name is Kate Ryann Hesse! She is 5 months old and the first grandchild for my parents...and the fourth for Justins! She is OH so spoiled...which she is supposed to be right? I may be the crazy Aunt but she is literally the cutest and most fun little girl ever!

Photobucket

One more thing, My amazing room mate text me the other day and said "When are you going to be home, I have a friend I want you to meet?" I was so excited because I knew she was going to have something good. WELL, When I walked into our house there was a 7 week old Basset hound. This puppy loves to cuddle and play... SO stinkin' cute. I had to show you guys because she is our room mate until Friday and then Jessica is taking her to her brother whose daushand recently died. :o( So she is going to give him this puppy to help cheer him up and hopefully help him move on! Her name is Macy...ADORABLE!!

Photobucket

Ok, as for some BUM news in my life. On Sunday- I was minding my own business and was going to eat with my sister at her hospital... WELL, this (uninsured) lady backed right into us. Thankfully, Nick was with me and he handled the situation because my hormones might have gotten the best of this lady. ;) Anyway, This is the 2nd thing this month that has happened...Earlier this month my car got broken into and almost everything was stolen. Darn the luck- but It could ALWAYS be worse right?

Photobucket

LAST update I promise!!
I get my braces off Monday (April 6th) Ill get a picture up as soon as I can...Believe me I do not want to be a mama with braces...they make me look even younger, and in this case...isn't so good ;)

Ok, so that wasn't SO bad right? :o) I hope each of you have a very blessed week and Im going to try my HARDEST to update weekly so keep on reading. You never know whats going to happen in my life...

Love you & Always remember
God is ABLE.
