Sweat has never been so sweet!

Aloha : )

May the favor of the Lord our God rest upon us; establish the work of our hands for us—yes establish the work of our hands. Psalms 90:17

“ Be strong!! We are not here to play, to dream, to drift; We have hard work to do and loads to life; Shun not the struggle—face it; ‘Tis Gods gift!

Mikah is now able to sweat! Pretty soon… He’ll be takin out the trash, mowin, and out shootin hoops! :o)

How is everyone this great month of July? This month for me has been filled up with Birthdays, Weddings and Fire works! I’m just wondering…Is it just me or has there been more weddings this summer then every before? Some people that I’m just getting to that age, but It seems that this summer has been more popular than before, and good for me…because I LOVE wedding :o)

Well Let’s start off with my best friend Jacki’s wedding. WOW, I have honestly never been around a group of more fun and all around loving people. I got to see a lot of “kids” that I grew up with, which was wonderful, and My goodness…Did Jacki look gorgeous : ) Although I was 35 weeks pregnant at the time of the wedding, Yes, I strutted my stuff in front of over 300 people… I told her that I would NOT miss her wedding for the world, and Thankfully I kept my word and made it through the weekend. Jacki- I was SO honored to be in your wedding, you were the most gorgeous bride and I know you’re going to make a great wife. Here are some pictures from the wedding which was on July 4th…

Next, I almost forgot to tell you about the shower that I had here in Levelland. Some of the sweetest people here in Levelland threw me the most awesome shower. I honestly was SO worried that people were not going to come… But, by the time the shower was over, I was SO blessed with such great people that made the time to actually come and support Mikah and I. I am not kidding you, God’s blessings have been poured over and over again on us… and I am definitely going to have to be doing some major passing it on after Mikah gets a little older. : )

Ohh Kayla, I just love you!

Ok, So updates on mister Mikah… Well, he is now over 6 pounds and I honestly think he’s going to break my xiphoid process off. You guys think I’m kidding but If he takes one more drop kick at it… It’s coming off. ;) I heard that by this time of pregnancy, the mommas tend to get a little impatient and tired of being pregnant. Well, ITS TRUE…….. haha Ya DIDN’T see that one coming did ya?? You know me, I aim to make you people smile. I have had the most perfect pregnancy as far as the physical parts of it. I have had no morning sickness… have had a little drama with pre term Labor- but it comes out that Mikah is just ornery…like the rest of his family, So, I’m not going to complain. I’m happy to share ME with HIM and I am going to miss the times that we share…Hiccups, kicks, and the times where it’s just Momma and Mikah….But, the anticipation of labor and him being here is overwhelming. Here are a few pictures that my wonderful mother took. She is SO talented and blessed which her skills… Check it out for yourself. You’ll appreciate it!

Good Job momma!

You're a professional!

I have full faith that you'll develop into something big one dayMom!!

Lastly, I’ve felt here lately that I haven’t made myself clear on here on this blog. I honestly have felt convicted because I have used this blog to explain my story and haven’t truly said that I have been forgiven. Listen, I am the first to come to EACH of you and anyone else to admit that what happened is WRONG. I know that my heavenly father loves me and has placed so much grace upon me… But I never truly said that I have sinned. Well, People- I have sinned.. but the good thing about out father…is that I’m already forgiven. So, Im sorry If I irritated anyone with my story and not admitting that sin took place, because I never expected to be a mommy at 22. But, I have taken this role and have used it to increase his kingdom, I did sin…felt conviction and am forgiven. THANK God for his forgiveness, strength, love…everything. Ok, NOW that I have that off my chest... I can move on : )

Ps... I ADORE her, Check out the baby blues on her! I have one gorgeous neice!

I hope EACH and EVERYONE of you feels God’s love today… and SMILE…quit taking life so seriously
Until then, Love you guys and maybe next time Ill have some pics of my gorgeous baby boy* 3 weeks people…the days are numbered!

June...<3

Photobucket

My Frame was not hidden from you when I was made in the secret place. When I was woven together in the depths of the earth, your eyes saw my unformed body. All the days ordained for me were written in your book before one of them came to be..Psalm 139:15-16

"When you are a mother, you are never really alone in your thoughts...A mother always has to think twice, once for herself and once for her child. Sophia Loren....
...oh so true.

Hello All!
Happy June :o) Seriously, what a great month… Sunshine, Swimming, Friends and fun… Oh and by the way, My sisters birthday too- So I’m pretty sure that we all think that this month is a great one. I’ve gotten a little behind on this thing So I’ll do my best in order to fill you guys in without boring your brains out.

I was very blessed to have a visit from one of my very best friends Camille. It’s been quite an adjustment for me moving back home, which by the way has been great, but just an adjustment because of me being used to doing what I want, when I want…whether that be something simple as getting a bowl of cereal at 12 o’clock at night or simply sitting in the living room instead of my room late at night because my bed is just not as comfortable as the couch :o) We’ve all made adjustments and it’s been a great process and I’m so blessed because my parents are pretty stinking amazing. Camille was great while she was here, we got some great shopping in, did facials, and just enjoyed our time together. She’s ADORABLE…and probably going to kill me once she sees that I posted these pictures…Sorry friend (Not really….hehehe)

This is me...

and this is Camille...Love you friend!!!

Camille, you're gorgeous!! $$Money Maker!!$$ ;)

Next, Kelli and Justin finally purchased a house that they love. They are remodeling it at the moment and oh my gosh it’s seriously unrecognizable. Justin and My dad have been working on it hard and I can’t wait until it’s done because they have a guest room…which is already been claimed as mine. :o)

I was also very excited that I got a visit from Nick, who is spending the summer in Portland, Oregon. It was pretty funny to be able to witness his face when he got to experience some small town things because it’s a serious culture shock for him- and when someone asked him what he thought about Levelland… his response was “Its so county.” I thought that the answer was quite appropriate. He also thought it was so strange how everyone was so nice…and he does say the word like “Niaace”, thanks to our great accents.

Well let me tell you about Mister Mikah Jay- I’ve been having a little drama but I think that he is doing SO great. At the beginning of all of this I was having a little bleeding and finally got over that after an expensive one night stay in the hospital…ha, As to which was followed by some pretty heavy contractions. I wasn’t worried but as for my sister, that was a different story. You see, she’s a neonatal nurse and she’s been there and done that… So, Weekly I go in and I am monitored (Non Stress Test) and make sure that my contractions aren’t getting to strong or frequent…along with his blood pressure and everything else. Well, Dr. Atkinson was pretty worried about the contractions and wanted to make sure that I was being safe so I went ahead and had two doses of steroids to strengthen Mikahs lungs just in case he comes early. Now, as for momma, I’m pretty proud of this little guy because he weighs 4 pounds 7 ounces and he has made it to 32 weeks and 4 days. You go boy :o) If I can only make it at least to 35 weeks…around 10 pm, I would think that was pretty good (The reason I say that date and time is because I am in my best friend in the whole wide world, Jacki’s, wedding that day and she said that I could only make it till 10 pm, as to which her wedding is at 8…then we could take the limo to Lubbock to deliver this little man… I love her!!)
Ps…to all of the moms, Do you ever feel like your xiphoid process is ever going to reach its limit and pop off??? :o)

Just enjoying my NST : )

But as for everything else, I am still waiting on a call from Parkridge in order to start training. They said it usually takes about 6 weeks in order to get all of your references checked and so on and I am here waiting patiently on what God wants me to do in the mean time…which could possibly be rest for baby- but I’m ready to do it NOW God!! :o) I have also started going to a bible study called Can we talk by Priscilla Fisher with women of all ages. It’s perfect for me because I can find wisdom in so many of these women and girls my age who are momma’s and can offer me a little advice…Once again, thank you God for taking me in and taking care of me…You never fail!!

Ugghh, I feel like I’m forgetting something and I hate that feeling… Let me pop a few things offs in things that I want you guys to know and then I promise I’ll be done.

My Brother in law graduated pharmacy school…You go boy and is currently waiting on results from his other test he has to take in order to be certified (Im pretty sure he’ll be fine because he’s literally a genius.)

Kate is still the cutest thing on the planet earth.

My mom and dad celebrated their 27th anniversary on May 16th. What a love they have.

My friend LaRanda had her baby today- Funny story, the night before her water broke we were texting probably way to late and she was telling me her plans of what she would be doing. Now she realizes its not her timing…Its Gods :o) Healthy Baby Girl…Blakely.

My sister turns 27 on the 28th of this month…The ONLY time she is five years old than me… :)

Lastly, I interviewed for a Job at the Levelland ABC center for a teachers assistant job for pre-school on Tuesday in order to position myself for hire once I’m done with my teaching certificate in November. I’ll find out tomorrow if it’s a yes or a no…I’m praying for a YES but If God has different plans for me, He’ll place me where he wants me and I’ll have to start praying for different opportunities. I’ll let you guys know asap.

I hope you guys have an amazing rest of the week and I am anxious to hear from you!
xoxo!!

Dreams*
For I know the plans I have for you declares the Lord…Plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future… Jeremiah 29:11

Hello all of my beauties!!

I’m so sorry that I’ve slacked on updated this ole’ thing. I’ve had a lot of things going on the last couple of weeks and my goodness- It’s been stressful but oh so fun and worth every minute of it. I know I usually ramble but I promise to keep this as straight and to the point as possible :o)

Important announcement! I graduated College!! Whaaat? I know, it was pretty crazy and overwhelming all at the same time myself. I had my family here (Dana, Mam Maw, Gma Sherry, Kelli, Dad, Mom, Kate) to come out and show their support :o) The graduation itself was pretty quick and I was really overwhelmed because I sat there thinking to myself literally…”What’s next?” Well- THIS is what’s next! Yes, I have a plan. I am going to apply for a job at the ABC learning center and at the Christian school here in Levelland because I want to teach EC-4. I originally wanted to do business but I think that with the peace that I have in my heart, God is pointing me strongly in this direction. I love kids and the random things they say and especially at a young age…they’re excitement to learn. I graduated with my degree in General Studies and I am going to start August 6th and finish in November with my certification through Region 4. I know some of you are calculating and YES August 10th is my due date…but duty calls my friends and sometimes you just have to buckle down. :o) And Yes, Ill have help with my family & friends… Thanks in advance guys!

…I had my baby shower in Amarillo. It was so fun because it was kind of like Christmas in May! It was also a great time to get to see my friends because this was the day I was packing up and moving back to Levelland. I had my teammates and coach there, Friends and family, and a few faces that I was so surprised to see! My hostesses did a great job- My theme was lime green and zebra print- in which we had some yummy cup cakes from the Canyon Cake Company (My mouth is watering!) An awesome diaper cake…I’m mesmerized by those cakes for some reason ha! And they got me this AWESOME stroller and car seat…Hopefully a few of you will be seeing pushing Mikah around the neighborhood to push the baby weight off my newly grown love handles. : D Yes, I’m proud of it too! Here are a a few pics from the shower…

Haven, Kelli, Linds, Ashley, Me, Hilary, Camille and Wendy… Great job hostesses!

Photobucket

You rock Haven!

Lastly,
I have to show you the most amazing and precious little boy in the whole world! It’s Mikah Jay everyone! I don’t know how well this picture allows you to see his face…But it’s already etched in my memory. Head over heals in love. This was the first sonogram that we actually got to see a clear view of his face… But he has a dimple in his chin- Which is SUCH a Blackshear family trait, and huge dimples in his cheeks. He has pouty lips and a cute little nose like his dad! He weighs 2 pounds and 15 ounces and he is 28 weeks and 4 days old day! As for the not so fun news, I had to take a stress test after my fun sonogram on Monday because my doctor recommended that It be done because I was placed in the hospital 2 weeks ago for some light bleeding. Well, apparently I’m contracting and from what I’m being told…that’s not so good. So, I am not allowed to really well, do anything! I can’t pick my niece up which was the biggest heartache for me but basically I am confined to just hanging out. But at this point in time, I’ll do anything for this little guy to grow strong and healthy…even if that includes sitting all day long not doing a thing. So If you could just say a little prayer that Mikah just stays in his little sleeping bag for a while longer because now I have realized that every single day…even hour is a blessing to this little man. I also have to tell you guys this…If you are a new mom you have to read this book called Expecting by Marla Taviano…Anyway* MIKAH is already starting to have dreams. After I read that, I just laughed because I have no idea what he could be dreaming about…but that could explain the mid night kicks and jabs that are so comforting to me…literally (Im sure all of you moms know) But all I have to say is DREAM big baby boy…The world is YOURS!!

Little side note: If he does decide to come early, he played 10 weeks of college basketball, endured all of my stress plus more over the last 28 weeks, and has been a trouper…So, He’s already a fighter and if it’s in God’s will for him to make an early entrance into this world… I’m sure he can handle it, He’s a tough little guy and God does have a plan for him already… But- Check him out!! Hes a little Chick magnet already… Love you Mikah!!

: ) Smiling.

A friend loves at all times, and is born, as is a brother, for adversity. Proverbs 17: 17

Hey Friends!
Wow what a busy week it’s been- I’ve traveled to 3 different states…in 3 days that is-met up with some of my very best friends-completely covered a house with toilet paper-played my first and possibly the best round of golf that I’ve ever played…Boy Do I have some catching up to do with yall!!

I think it’s been two weeks since I’ve updated this blog- So forgive me if I’ve left something out. First of all, I’d like to proudly say that I am graduating in 13 days! But seriously, who’s counting. Before I got pregnant, I was going to do some type of sales… I had narrowed it down to pharmaceuticals, but I figured with a precious baby, it’d be a little hard to do the traveling that I’d be required to do. So, I changed my major from General Business to General studies because that allowed me to graduate in May 2009 rather than December 2009. I am going to do the PACE program and I'm hoping to teach the youngsters... Probably 2nd grade and under. I figure having summers off and holidays off to hang out with my little man wouldn’t be a bad idea after all...and hanging out with cool little kids that really want to learn...would be a pretty sweet job. : ) And if I do change my mind about school, I could always go back and finish up my General business degree in 2 semesters…or about 18 hours. As far as this semester goes, I have one final down and 3 to go…Im hoping for good grades…So until my finals open up- I plan to do a lot of sucking up! : ) Kidding.

This is what I really want to tell you guys! I went back to Liberal Kansas this weekend! After I left, I was so happy that I was out of that place, but its funny because now I miss it so much. The people there would do anything for you… and I guess Dorthy is right “THERES NO PLACE LIKE HOME” : ) Anyway, I went back to initially to meet up with one of my best friends Aly. She was my room mate my sophomore year there at Seward County and talk about a girl who fights for life…she literally does. Over the last couple of years she’s struggled with some health issues... in which she probably wouldn’t want me to go into, but she has a doctors appt May 11th, So I just ask for prayers for her…I’m sure she’ll take them! Anyway, anytime we get together- it’s a lot of fun…and my abs still hurt from laughing* If any of my old SCCC team mates are reading this…we told stories of Wanya and the haunted house* or the infamous Paris and Nicole Halloween costumes…wow those times are priceless. But, anyway- I thought I would just go to have a good time and drive the cart around…but oh NO, Kent always has something up his sleve (Kent was our booster while we were at liberal) little did I know, he signed me up to play!! WHAT?! I’m a basketball player- Not a golfer. But, as time went on…I started to get the hang of it. One the first hole- my drive went right on the green, and on the 2nd hole…I hit one right out of the sand for a birdie…and after that- I could’ve retired… They say it only takes one shot to bring ya back…. And I think that saying is so true! After the golf tournament, We all headed over to Kevin and Tanyas (Kents son and daughter-in-laws) where we enjoyed some pizza and some fun rock band~ It was quite entertaining…and Aly and I were busy planning our night of being mischievous. After we left their house Aly and I headed to Wal mart to pick up 18 rolls of toilet paper : ) You get where I’M going eh? Well, we got our old coach GOOD! We LOVE Coach Wynn but it’s something we used to do while we were at SCCC. We call his house the “tree house”- and wow… it was fun* We laughed and yes we were so proud of ourselves. But as far a driving through 3 states…we hit Texas, Oklahoma, and Kansas all in a 3 hour trip…Not bad eh?

This is Aly!

I also wanted to tell ya a little bit about my room mate- who never ceases to amaze me! Well, last week Jessica asked me to go with her to record a song for her fiancĂ© for their wedding. The song that she wrote is amazing, and not only had that…she played the guitar too- yes, self taught! She’s pretty talented! But, we are moving out in like 15 days and our house looks so bare without her sweet decorations! Oh how I’ll miss this girl!

Photobucket

Oreo and Mikal…The guy that recorded her- also VERY talented.

Photobucket

As for Mister Mikah…He’s doing so great…growing and kicking….Yesterday, I was in serious pain. I don’t know what he was going but he was completely on the right side of my stomach. Apparently he takes comfort in that area because we have pictures of where he is folded in half in that side…smooshed! But, anyway, I could hardly walk because he was pressing down so hard so I lifted up my shirt and I was lopped sided! I should’ve have taken a picture because it was very funny…and it made me laugh, So after I layed down tried to push his…he kicked me a few times telling me to quit…and then he moved. Stubborn little guy… but I’m falling in love with him more and more every day. Heres a picture of me- Sorry I look a little bloated but I figured I should post one because people are asking me daily to see the “baby bump.”

Photobucket

Ok, I literally teared up when I saw this picture of my niece! Once a girl I saw weekly seemed to be growing up before my own eyes...lol. I love this little girl so much! So, Once again, I just had to brag on her cuteness...Check her out... 6 months going on 13 years... awwwwwww. I love her!!!

Photobucket

Oh, and her hot mom!! :o)

Photobucket
And yes, I do have one random picture for this week. It was went Nick and I went to visit the zoo in Amarillo. The theme of the picture was to make a face of what animal we wanted to see…and apparently Mine was an alligator and his was a monkey- No telling~ : )

Photobucket

I love you all more than you know <3 Have a great weekend! And smile!!!

Psalm 126:2

Psalm 126:2 Our mouths were filled with laughter, our tongues with songs of joy. Then it was said among the nations, "The LORD has done great things for them."

Hello Everyone!

Today is April 16, 2009, cloudy and a perfect day for a nap :o) As you all know, one of my favorite hobbies is laying around and cat napping. Anyways, how is everyone doing? I must admit that I haven’t fully waken up yet but I am ready to finish my week off strong* I just have a few things to update you guys on, but of coarse Ill probably read this tomorrow and be mad that I forgot to post something.

Ill start with Easter! I finally got to go home and actually spend some good quality time with my family. Usually I get home and have to get up early the next morning for an appointment and then I have to drive back for work but this Easter I actually got to stay home and hang out with my family~ It was great. I got home on Friday and relaxed with the family and then on Saturday I had a baby shower at Erin Methvin’s house for Tana Locket. It was great getting to see my old high school team mates and friends. On Sunday, we headed to church in which Kelli Kate and Justin attended also. Kate did really good during the service and only had one minor break down which resulted in a long nap after! I don’t know if its just me, But I’m one of those people who you see that has the extreme giggles during the prayer. Let me Illiterate on this really fast. In our church, we always sit in the balcony in which the rows square off pretty good, well as I was thanking God for his son, I look down and there is this adorable little girl in her Easter dress crying for help because she was bottom down, legs and chest in the air…STUCK between the row and the pew in front of us. Well, of coarse I get my sisters attention and she looks down and we both begin our crying laughter…It’s something we inherited from our mam-maw. Oh Thank you Jesus for laughter… :o) Beyond that, my mom sang and it was moving and beautiful as always. After church we had a Family get together with my Uncle Gary, Aunt Sandy, Cale and Lacey, My mam maw, Gary’s mom, my mom and dad, Kelli Justin and Kate, and Me. When our family gets together It’s always a fun time :o)

I always have funny stories that I want to remember but I seem to always forget when it comes down to it…While I was home, we have the most adorable next door neighbors…Dawn, Ronny, Drew and Cade. Well Dawn came over and told my mom that Drew (age 4) had been asking her for an instrument. (This was after a full day of cleaning out our closets that my mom soon realized we had enough stuff to have a garage sale) Well, we just so happened to have a guitar that I had from high school that I swore to learn how to play- yeah that didn’t go as planned… Anyway, this guitar is very pink and very girly- and let me remind you that Drew is ALL boy…A&M football all the way. Ok I’m sorry I’m babbling. Well we decided that would be the perfect prize for Drew…So we took it outside and his most gracious four year old voice he says… “It’s so pink!” HAHA, I wish you could have heard it because this story does not give it justification but it was pretty cute. Yes, he played a little “Jesus loves me” in our driveway…Just another way he makes our family smile! Ps…in payment for the guitar I gave him I got TWO BIG hugs from him….. and two more from little brother that copies everything Drew does...I didn’t mind ;)
(Dawn I had to steal this picture...adorable!)
Photobucket

I had an appointment with Dr. Kileen Tuesday in Lubbock to check on Mister Mikah! He is doing great and is looking great! He is a little over a pound right now and is the 75th percentile of growth for his age (Did I say that right? Kelli explained that to me at the dr.’s office) He assured us we weren’t having a 10 pound baby but he was a healthy little booger. All I have to say is POOR KATE…Who is small (but ADORABLE) for her age-It’s going to be fun When we have a 1 & 2 year old running around…:o) His heart was beating strong and we finally got a shot of his little boy parts. From a mommy’s perspective, it was adorable… I mean if that can be adorable in any way? But every time we got a clear shot on it…He would kick the sonogram wand in which we would lose the view… it was like he was saying “Mommy, your embarrassing me!” Coming from an all girls family it was hard to believe that he was a HIM instead of a HER…but after that… I’m convinced. : D Yeah Yeah for team blue!

Lastly, So I have been trying to find somewhere that I fit in, in order to help scared/young teenage mothers…because well needless to say…I’ve been there done that! Well I emailed a lady named Judy from Hillside and she sent my testimony to NetCare in Canyon…Well that’s where I started this little journey- So they called and of coarse we caught up on how I was doing on so forth and so on…I told them that I wouldn’t be here for the summer because I was moving to Levelland to get help from my awesome parents. Well, They gave me the number to Parkridge which is a ministry for unplanned pregnancy in Lubbock. So on Tuesday before all of my appointments I met with a lady named Mary and she gave me a tour of the place but it was unfortunate that they don’t have another training session until September… I took this as God just wanted me to wait and increase my walk with him before I truly dive into something like this…Which is fine because in this ministry…who knows what’s going to be thrown at me. So until then Ill just be praying for an increase in my faith and praying for God to take me wherever he leads….In which sometimes we know is not so easy!

Photobucket
*Random Picture I know, I just love it!

OKAY, I think that is all for this week...I love each of you dearly and I hope to be reading the great ways that God is blessing you & working through you in your lives!!
Until then!
Chelsea!
